Most computer problems do not need a store in a strip mall and a ticket number. They need someone to show up, look at the machine, and give you an honest appraisal of the issues you are experiencing.

That is Data Djinn.

I started Datum Djinn because, frankly, I was doing it already and I had also had a lot of old computers laying around that I needed to get rid of properly. It was a bit of a hassle and I wished someone would of just come, taken the computers away, and disposed of them in a way that didn’t hurt the environment. I had always wanted to start a business, so I started Datum Djinn.

I come to your house or your small business. If the computer is broken, we fix it. If it is crawling, we improve it so it earns its keep again. If it is done, it does not go in the regular trash. Old towers, laptops, drives, and the drawer of mystery cables get hauled out and recycled the right way — not dumped where they do not belong. It does not go in the regular trash, and it does not live in your garage for another three years “just in case.”

This is a new family run business. Before I used to spend my days around servers and databases. That work ended. This is what I am doing with the same brain and fewer meetings. Homes and small shops. The places that never have an IT department and should not need one for a single stubborn laptop. Also, I will be offering Data Engineering, Database Administration, and Development services (some of my favorite technologies) that I have worked with in the past including training in them.
